"High Treason - Part I" is the twenty-sixth episode of the first and only season of The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. Its screenplay was written by Carlton Cuse and Brad Kern, its story was written by Tom Chehak and John Wirth, and it was directed by Kim Manners. It aired on 13 May 1994.
Summary: Brisco and Bowler are tasked with assisting the U.S. Army in rescuing the daughter of a powerful newspaper editor from a Mexican warlord. To assist with the task, Brisco enlists the help of an entire cast of recurring characters. While rescuing the daughter, Brisco uncovers that the entire mission is a charade masterminded by an overzealous general with political aspirations. When Brisco chooses to disobey the general's orders, he and Bowler are found guilty before a military tribunal and sentenced to death.
