Brisco County, Jr. was an American bounty hunter who was hired by the Westerfield Club after the death of his father, Marshal Brisco County, Sr., at the hands of the John Bly gang.
Along his journey to bring his father's killers to justice, Brisco befriended rival bounty hunter, Lord Bowler, his Westerfield contact, Socrates Poole, and eccentric scientist and inventor, Professor Albert Wickwire. He also won the affections of Dixie Cousins, the former girlfriend of Big Smith, an underling of John Bly.
